Oil & Cold Wax Workshop
Ōtaki Memorial Hall | Saturday 24 January 2026 | 10am–4pm
This relaxed, hands-on workshop introduces the creative possibilities of oil and cold wax — a versatile, tactile medium ideal for building rich layers, texture and expressive mark-making.
Working in a small, supportive group, you’ll be guided step-by-step through the basics of mixing oil paint with cold wax, applying layers, creating texture, and responding intuitively to your surface. The emphasis is on process and exploration rather than perfection.
This workshop is suitable for beginners through to more experienced artists. No prior knowledge of oil or cold wax is required.
