Story Behind the Painting
Tui birds are frequent visitors to my garden and I see them from my art studio. They have distinctive white ruffs like gentleman from times gone by. They are not always easy to spot as they flit around so my paintings have them camouflaged by the surrounding garden. I use symbols and colour in my paintings to depict the feel of my garden. The koru like shapes shown in orange are my symbols for roses. I hope this painting makes you smile. Imagine if it was on your wall to make you smile every day.
